Fire Suppression Systems basically consist of a main control panel, a means of activating the system, (release buttons and/or automatic fire detection), a bank of extinguishant cylinders and a fixed piping network with specially designed nozzles located in the high fire risk areas. In the event that the system is activated the extinguishant is forced through the pipe network and discharged via the specially designed nozzles in a single operation. Warning sounders and visual devices immediately operate, and various shutdowns and signals are activated.
