Founded in 1908, in Sheffield, by Arthur William Vose Turner, AWV Turner Ltd quickly established a solid reputation as colliery and mill furnishers. Supplying everything from the smallest nut to large cranes, the company expanded into fire prevention. Turners then acquired the UK patent and marketing rights to “REX” fire extinguishers, the forerunner of the small portable units seen throughout industry and commerce.

In 1959 Rex Fire Prevention was formed, and the company has steadily grown since to a position of national standing, employing over 50 dedicated specialists with a reputation for delivering total customer commitment and a quality service. Rex has a wealth of experience in protecting all sizes and complexities of premises, providing the design, supply, installation and maintenance of a wide range of systems and equipment.

Based in Sheffield, close to the motorway network, Rex is ideally situated to offer maintenance and project management services nationwide.
